Douglas R. Engum, Jr. enlisted in the United States Air Force in April 1966 and was honorably discharged in March 1970.  He underwent basic training and technical school training in Inventory Management Specialist at Amarillo Air Force Base, Amarillo, Texas.  He was assigned to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, and later was transferred to McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California.  Upon his honorable discharge, Doug had achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

   Following discharge he worked for Control Data Corporation, was self-employed for a period of time, and is currently working for FilmTec Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Dow Chemical.
